I’ll be honest and admit I don’t really understand putting a sidecar on a motorcycle. But if you do, and you have a new Bonnie, then the Watsonian Sidecar Kit for the Triumph T120 Bonneville will make you happy.
Apparently modern Triumph Bonneville range work well with sidecars. Obviously they look the part, but the low centre of gravity and parallel twin engine are well suited to the job. And the new T120 offers 18% more power and 54% more torque over previous models, thanks to the bigger 1200cc engine. So Watsonian thought it was worth creating a new fitting kit for it.
The new kit was needed as the T120 has a new frame and a shorter wheelbase. It will allow the Silk chassis used for the Monza and Grand Prix sidecar models to be fitted, as with the GP700 pictured.
The Watsonian Sidecar Kit for the Triumph T120 Bonneville costs £350. But you’ll also need at least £5995 as the starting price for a GP700 in plain black, with a fibreglass body, 70cm bench seat and a lockable boot.
