The new Indian Scout is a fine cruiser. But it’s possible to improve the ride and handling with the IKON 7610 rear suspension. One reason is that the standard suspension has to be set to cope with two riders plus luggage as well as going solo, and there’s no rebound adjustment if you want to tweak your suspension for riding solo.
The IKON 7610 series rear shock absorbers have the right look to fit with your Indian, but feature a Triple Rate Progressive Spring and Twin Tube Hydraulic Damping. They also have hand-adjustable 3-Position Spring Pre-load and 4-Position Rebound Damping. So you can bugger about with your settings without needing any tools.
Each shock is dyno-tested before leaving the IKON factory in Australia, and can be re-built or re-valved in the future. The IKON 7610 Series shocks for the Indian Scout come in two versions – the SP9 has a black body and chrome springs (pictured), while the SP14 goes with black body and springs. They cost from £279.30 inc VAT.
