The Ducati “Scrambler You Are” video competition is open from July 13th – October 20th, 2015 for film and video creators to win a 5,000 Euro prize.
The second edition of the contest is for video makers from 18 and up. There’s no upper age limit, although the contest is promoted by the Future Film Festival and talks a lot about young creative types.
Entry is by uploading a 60-120 second video which portrays the “urban jungle”, with examples like graffiti, skate parks, street food, nature and motorcycles. It has to be previously unpublished and the 5,000 Euro first prize will be awarded by a jury of ‘cinema and communication specialists’. A runner-up prize of 1,000 Euro will be awarded based on online votes, and one contestant will also be selected to work with Ducati as assistant director on a future Scrambler short film.
It’s worth paying close attention to the Terms and Conditions. As well as not allowing any images or ‘explicit allusions’ to sex, alcohol, vulgarity and bad language, you’re also not allowed any ‘recognisable vehicles or vehicles whose brand is recognisable.’
Basically your urban depiction needs to be family friendly and only include Ducati Scramblers if you’re putting any cars or bikes in it.
